_AEM RHEOS 20

Our AEM RHEOS 20 is a full-scope, skid-mounted 20 MW hydrogen plant. Six production trains share the transformers, rectifiers, water treatment, electrolyte loop, hydrogen purification and plant control needed to run and condition the plant, so a single train can be serviced while the other five keep producing.

The reference configuration produces 4,000 Nm³/h (approximately 362 kg/h) of hydrogen at 51.4 kWh/kgH₂ system efficiency, across a 1 to 100% operating range, on a 1,250 m² footprint.

Enapter AEM RHEOS 20 hydrogen plant with six production trains

Maintenance without a plant shutdown

Six production trains run in three rows. Each train can be isolated for service while the other five keep producing, so maintenance never takes the whole plant offline.

CoreKraft™ EMS coordinating the Enapter AEM RHEOS 20 hydrogen plant

One control system for the whole plant

The CoreKraft™ EMS coordinates all six trains as a single asset across a 1 to 100% operating range, so plant output follows available renewable power instead of running at fixed load.

Enapter AEM RHEOS 20 integrated hydrogen plant

Delivered as one integrated plant

Transformers, rectifiers, water treatment, electrolyte loop, hydrogen purification and plant control ship as one coordinated 20 MW concept, not six separate packages to integrate on site.

The AEM RHEOS 20 is designed to make a 20 MW hydrogen project easier to engineer, install and operate, beyond the headline production figures.

  • Defined 25 × 50 m reference layout: the 1,250 m² plant arrangement gives an early basis for plot planning, access routes and utility routing.
  • Ground-level, three-row configuration: the production field is laid out for direct access to the individual equipment trains during inspection and maintenance.
  • Dedicated rectifier-stack architecture: each rectifier supplies a defined AEM Stack cluster, supporting train-level control and reducing dependencies on a shared DC system.
  • Centralized plant utilities and electrolyte service: water treatment, cooling, hydrogen purification and the KOH loop are consolidated at defined plant boundaries instead of repeated across every production block.
  • Unified plant control: equipment control, supervisory operation and site safety signals are coordinated through one plant-level control architecture.
